New Year, New Me?
Yada yada yada… So I always say I’m going to do this and that to change my life. Why not say it again!? So I’ve been trying to eat better and exercise more but I’ve not really been motivated, until yesterday when I looked at the scale. I weigh more today than I ever have in my life… sad really. I’m not totally inactive, but I know I need to do more. My goal is to trim the fat and be able to run with my son through his entire high-school and college career without losing my breath. To do this, this is what I am going to do:
- Cut out the Dr. Pepper
- Eat a better breakfast (yogurt, oatmeal, grain cereal and fruit)
- Drink more water
- Go from 1 day / week at the Y to 4; running on the elliptical for (20 minutes)
- Try the p90x program for 90 days (75 minutes every day)
- Quit playing stupid games on Facebook
- Focus on stretching my body again
- Practice karate again
Well… I’ll update the first of each month with my progress. Now it’s time to build my health management calendar. Wish me luck!
